From email from the assistant superintendent for equity, Sam Messier:
The Boulder Valley School District is in the process of creating a District Equity Plan with the goal of ensuring that all of our students have the supports needed to succeed. The work is a significant part of Superintendent Rob Anderson’s 100-Day Plan and we need your help.
As you may know, last spring we gathered the community together for an extremely successful Equity Summit, where parents and staff helped to define eight themes related to equity.
This fall, we are resuming this work. We are inviting the public to join the process as we set clear and measurable goals that can be implemented in BVSD schools.
Please join us in one month — on Saturday, September 29 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the BVSD Education Center at 6500 E. Arapahoe Road, in east Boulder. If you are able to join us complete this RSVP form by September 23.
